I think it’s too much to expect real decency from any of them any more so my new calculation is which one is least likely to get my kids killed in some useless conflict for a bunch of rich people who bought the “representatives”.
Our country is in horrible shape morally but at least my kids are not bleeding to protect the interest of some corporation, lobbyist, and the prostitutes we elected.
That is where we are at now. Sad, but true. I don’t think for a second that all this pickle poaching began with Kennedy either..... I am pretty confident it goes back to Jefferson at least and it’s all over the Old Testament too.
I don’t like it, but that is reality. At the end of the day a “moral neocon” can drag us into thousands of casualties and ten trillion plus worth of war so whats the point? I look at my kids and think their safety and welfare is more important than my instinctive desire for honor and country.
I said this back in 2016 too. We all have to do a hierarchy of needs and for me peace and prosperity are higher on the list.

Trump kept us out of wars for four years, much to the annoyance of the MIC and war hawks. Like you, that’s high on my list of priorities and I’m willing to look past some of Trump’s antics if it means a better world for future generations.
General Patton had some flaws but he helped bring an end to WWII in no insignificant way. I’m glad he was on our side.
