Nashville police on Tuesday released footage showing officers firing multiple bullets at the suspected attacker in Monday's school shooting minutes after storming into the private Christian grade school with rifles and conducting a room-by-room search.
The six minutes of footage, taken from body-worn cameras from two of the responding officers, showed police clearing one classroom after another on the first floor before venturing up the stairs to the second floor.
Shots can be heard seconds before the suspect comes into view and drops to the floor after apparently being shot. One officer fires additional rounds into the assailant, who appears to be moving on the ground as another officer repeatedly yells, "Get your hands away from the gun!"

Agree, and add my congratulations.
Agree!
would anybody be upset to actually see this animal put down?...not me....I’d cheer....something about killing 9yro’s just gets to me...
Otherwise this school seems to have good security, access lock down and training.
All I can say is this VERY Much looks like proper police procedure, proper police tactics, and good training.
In short a "good shoot".
Metro Police were just amazing. Thank God.
The shooter broke out the second floor window to use it as a overlooking sniper position against officers arriving outside.
Fortunately, the first officers to arrive had already formed the entry team and had entered the school building's first floor.
The first officer to arrive was immediately met outside by a school employee, who provided a master key allowing the entry team immediate and quiet access.
Also fortunately, the shooter neglected to watch for a flank while firing from the second floor overlook position on officers outside.
The officers outside did not engage, they drew fire by simply being in view and attracting attention, exactly what was needed to distract the shooter.
Excellent observation and deduction, I agree, and I observed the same when I watched the complete Nashville Police Bodycam video.
