I don't think that could be accurate. First of all, you can always tell what someone really is, especially if it's a corpse. But more importantly, if the murdering It was actually a woman, there's no way they'd be calling it a woman. That would be, like, dead-sexing the It--right?
Very dead, in this case.
And God rest Its soul, and the souls of the innocents It murdered.
That is assuming the unconfirmed reports are correct, a huge IF.
