I understand the goal of repealing the Iraq war resolutions is supposedly to protect against a potential misuse of military force, but IMO it’s stupid, just merely mouthing off some useless words to impress the public.
What I mean is, if the rats want to start another war, they will. It does not matter if it happens in or near Iraq, Ukraine, China or BF Egypt. This is just meaningless propaganda.
Now to repeal what has already happened, which is how it’s worded also competes with the mental abilities of a fence post. If they repeal it, will our fallen soldiers be resurrected? Will the billions of dollars in the Iraq war be returned?
Kinda the way I see it too… a form of virtue signaling.
We shouldn’t deploy without a declaration of war. Period.
