I'm not opposed to Red Flag laws if they offer citizens due process and are narrowly defined. But what I think we are seeing is more of a gun grab, no due process, and ripe for abuse.

What I haven't seen is a study of all mass killers, domestic family killers, and see what laws already exist that would have stopped them if enforced, then fix that. Then what type of Red Flag law would help while not infringing on firearms ownership and possession by law abiding citizens?

The real problems is (1) mentally ill people not given meaningful treatment or confinement to protect them and others and (2) criminals being released or not locked up enablign them to commit new crimes.

By one recent report a couple of years ago, 15+ million people committed perjury to buy or attempt to buy guns and not one was charged and convicted. Poster boy Hunter Biden comes immediately to mind.

I agree. So far, we haven’t seen abuse on the law. Believe me in this day and age we’d know. So the states that have them, have been responsible so far.
