Two suspected burglars were found dead at a Garland apartment complex after a man said they broke into his apartment and began firing shots. The resident returned fire, fatally shooting both, police said.
Just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Garland police were dispatched to a burglary in progress where gunshots were fired.
Police responded to Woodlands at The Preserve, an apartment complex in the 4300 block of North Garland Avenue.
When they arrived at the scene, officers observed two men who suffered from apparent gunshot wounds, according to police. One victim was found inside the apartment, and the other victim was found outside near the same residence.

Garland, Texas.
The burglars should have spent a little more time at the range and less time at the pawn shops.
I’m ok with them not having spent more time at the range.
Good shooting, Tex
Sometimes these “home defense” stories are not what they seem. Drug dealers try to keep their home residence as secret as possible for obvious reasons. They are well armed and realize that they are the targets of other lowlifes. Rarely is follow up reported and the full story told. Would not be surprised if the drug dealer/ shooter makes a “contribution” to minimize the scope of the investigation. Sorry but that is what often happens.
You do that in my state and you’re charged with 1st Degree murder (by our bull dyke Attorney General) and are sued for every nickel you’ve got.
Good news story of the morning.
OK,I suppose that that happens. But if he’s just in his house and someone breaks in at 2AM he has a right to self defense.
Good.
Less recidivism.
https://www.woodlandsatthepreserve.com/ a wealthy-enclave type apartment complex - Dead guys were wise enough to know where the money is but not wise enough to know armed security would be waiting for them.
LOL. Thumbs up.
Notice that the unsuccessful burglars are called “victims.”
In my county the sheriff says when you break into a home in our county you should realize just about all residents have guns so expect to get shot!

Look at the bright side.
Regardless of who shot who, there are two fewer criminals than two days ago.
Just think...if half of the criminals shot the other half, how the crime rate would drop.
Large number of future crimes avoided. If they had been wounded and recovered they would have doubtless continued their chosen career with slap on the wrist punishments on those rare occasions when they would have been caught.
Approximately 2% of serious crimes in up with a conviction. So going by the averages for every crime solved there are 50 where the criminals get away with it. And when you consider that 90% of incarcerated criminals are repeat offenders the government should give this guy a medal for removing two menaces from society.
Don’t MESS WITH TEXAS

Hopefully-—the locals will give the shooter an award.
