Why is this news?
“ Why is this news?”
******************
It’s not. It’s CLICKBAIT.
Just a reminder I get to go to work in the morning as I have every year for the past 30 years, faithfully paying into the scheme so that others would get theirs that the feds spent years ago. I remember very clearly and very fondly my grandfather telling me he was glad I worked every day so his checks would keep coming and to keep it up. Now, the only proposals out there include an increase in retirement age, which means that instead of 20 more years in the game, I have 25 more, and a proposal to entirely screw Gen X, my generation, out of the money we’ve paid in for the last 30 years. What a scam!
In other news, this April will mark the first month this year that has a total of 30 days.
Hackers think so
Yes, exactly. Nothing in this article describes anything other than SSA’s regularly scheduled disbursements, unless something was left out.
Clickbait, to put it politely.
Maybe it is just a restatement of procedures used by SSA. Or the “journalist” don’t know squat, and thought it was newsworthy.
Nobody deserves 4555 a month for social security. No wonder we’re going bankrupt. People working don’t even get that much to live on. I hadn’t realized how huge the checks were. No wonder people start at 62. I’m 54 and can collect in 8 years. Over 4 grand a month will be awesome next to my military pension. No wonder the elderly are in such great financial health especially the ones around my area.
Why is this being sent above and beyond my usual?
I was wondering the point of this also...
read it a couple of times and I’m guessing the point is in the last paragraph.
They probably would have gotten a bigger wow if they said how much total went out for the month. Or for each payment cycle in the month.
