Honestly I like Trump and would gladly vote for him again but far too many of his tweets and statements, now and during his presidency were counterproductive, highly counterproductive.
He basically hands his opponents ammo to use against him. While you might see the humor in it, many people do not and if you want to win the Presidency again, you have to convince a heck of a lot of middle of the road people to vote for you. Poorly thought out reactionary tweets that are insulting and that can easily be misconstrued are not going to help you win those folks hearts, minds and votes. He already has his base in his corner but the base alone is not going to win an election.
The tweets did nothing to hurt him. That’s an establishment RINO talking point.

So getting millions more votes in 2020 than in 2016 is an indication of him being “counterproductive” during his presidency? And I really hated that cheap gas thing.

No. They use what they can, and they will use anything at all. If its not good enough they will make it up. A mean tweet is the best they got. Believe me, they would love for him to stumble and blubber around like Biden.
But they use whatever is available, and good “conservatives” without a ball to pass around between them, accept it and wag their finger at Trump while ignoring the commies and the homos dancing in front of their kids. They ignore the maiming of our children and the political persecution of normal Americans. They ignore the blatant corruption, and the molestation of children by their commander in chief, and give him a pass on rape allegations. They ignore men competing against women.
These people should be ashamed of themselves for the level of cowardice and foolishness they demonstrate.

Then they should be real upset about what’s going on, right? Do they think the prospect of nuclear war is funny? Or are they taking that serious too? If so, these serious Americans, which one should they think is worse? The hair falling out or the “not funny tweet”. This is stupid.
Naw, I don’t accept the premise. The people are not being allowed to vote. This condition is as clear as the sun at noon on a clear day.
