I thought they’d given up on the “hotter future” line and settled on the generic “change”.
It must be exhausting being a member of this religion, where the dogma changes wildly every few years.
Or Orwell was right about “double-think”.

At least they have the decency to put “opinion” in front of this load of BS.
Conservatives should be having 4+ biological children each. No excuses.

This idiot is hilarious.
The LA Times is publishing this stupidity? While they’re running scare stories about all the people snowed under in Big Bear?!
Beyond laughable.

And in the meantime, I struggle with how to explain to my children how their future could be affected by the propaganda and the poor folks that believe it.

It’s a new day each day, but we keep hearing the same stuff about climate change. Besides confiscating everyone’s money, what efforts will be affected by trying to change the climate? We didn’t make the climate & can’t really change it. But some delusional people in high places will certainly try.

Climate scientists? You mean like "meteorologists"?;-)

No problem. Just point out to your kids that you and your doomsday ilk have been dead wrong on EVERY SINGLE SUCH PROGNOSTICATION YOU HAVE EVER MADE. ALWAYS. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE TIME. Works for me.

sooooooooo much BS
these “climate scientists” aka tree huggers children will be just fine. They will grow up sitting on the beach and doing drugs while unemployed just as you hoped they will.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Geez. Where the hell is that tiny violin? Everybody knows environmental “scientists” don’t have kids. They’re too busy counting penguins all night hoping for another government grant.

Terrorize the children when they’re young and then they have them
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Bullcrap! The climate future is the same as when God created the Earth. If you want to know anything about the climate, read the Book of Genesis in the Bible.

I’m 80...the climate has not changed since I was a tot....and nothing changed for my parents either. They were born in 1917.

My older children have learned the basics about climate change in their classrooms; I try to relate some of that to what they see when we’re out in nature. They’ve asked about fires and water restrictions, and even why I’m so reluctant to turn on the heater.Because you're an idiot? Does the author really think that his not turning on the heater will effect the climate? The world climate?!
