I’m stunned. In order to be scientific, don’t the measurements need to be based on the same instruments being placed in the same locations going back to 1850?
It’s obvious that this isn’t the case. Assumptions or interpolations about conditions worldwide in 1850 can only give spurious results.
Anyway, what is the average global surface temperature SUPPOSED to be? What would be ideal? What would satisfy the scaremongering industry?
What dates would you use to get an average? Start from the beginning of the planet?
Just use the computer models of the 1850s satellite data...
The mile or more of ice over much of North America and the planet has come and gone many times. The last cycle was about 10,000 / 12,000 years ago.

So far, there have been 623 inches of snow recorded at Bear Valley with more to come. The city is just 17 inches away from surpassing its all-time record of 639 inches set in 1982-83.

With 603 inches of snow, the Central Sierra Snow Lab on Donner Pass is reporting its fifth snowiest winter on record since the lab was built in 1946.
Here’s the record numbers the lab is chasing:
1952, 812 inches of snow
1983, 671 inches of snow
2011, 643 inches of snow
1982, 624 inches of snow
