There is hope. FR is -not- is not representative of Republicans or Conservatives at large. I believe many, many FReepers want an echo chamber that validates their viewpoints. That’s just not the way the larger society works.
I think it boils down to trust. I liked what RDS is/was doing in FLA but once he started spending time with, accepting endorsements, etc. w/establishment types like Rove, Ryan, Jeb,and a long list of others, I realized he’d sold out (in my opinion) and that he would be no different than the Mitch McConnells, Bushes Lindsey Grahams, etc. all of whom got us into this mess and continue to be part of the problem. They are traitors (again, IMO) to this country and loyal only to themselves. A vote for RDS is a vote for the same old same old and the continued decline of our country. Only DJT is outside the establishment circle which is why they are trying so hard to destroy him, He is the only one with skin in the game and he has seen the man behind the curtain in DC and has promised (and I believe him) to try to save this country. Frankly, if he doesn’t win, we are done. That’s my abbreviated take on all of this.
