I think there are a few things going on. This is just a working theory based on observation. It could be wrong.
I think there are bad actors here. Strangers in our house. They sometimes have old accounts that date back, but their discourse is emotional and immature. Their ideas do not hold up to scrutiny or close examination. They travel in packs and enter early in the thread and pop smoke early, they know the most bang for the buck is at the top of a popular thread. Some appear to build cred on other topics that they aren’t invested in.
Then there are the solid FReepers. When one of these strays off course and starts siding with the left and the actors above, I have to think it is some sort of social media influence. I think social media is much more powerful than we recognize. I think it taps into a primal human instinct to be part of the “pack”. 50k yrs ago the only way to survive was to be in a tribe. Get kicked out and you die a miserable death. You do whatever you have to to stay in the pack. Social media taps into that I think. And social media is saying Trump bad. Vax good. Ukraine good.
But its also saying gay is good and so is trans. FReepers aren’t hitching their wagons to that. Maybe those issues are just a bridge too far?
Anyway... just a theory. What do you think?
Trump hasn’t changed. He’s always been a brawler. When he calls DeSantis “Meatball Ron,” I just smile. I bet DeSantis laughs too. It’s campaign season, these guys are competitive.
But it’s just weird to see this sudden furry of FR TDS turncoats after all Trump’s been through. Feels contrived. So maybe your theory’s accurate.
But I’m not naive about Bannon either. Steve & his ‘posse’ are quickly attacking DeSantis for his hesitancy to immediately defend Trump against Bragg, likely in part because Steve and many of his associates are angling for positions in Trump’s next administration.
Who do I trust? No one...
But Trump is proven on the federal level, and the Deep State / globalists appear to despise him so he must be doing something right. Therefore, I BACK TRUMP! :)
