He ran a campaign as a tired and bored candidate. It clearly showed. The results allowed him to retire to a nice, well-paying, cushy job. Very little passion in his last reelection effort.

If he’s our best candidate and declines the seat is them unwinnable. Tommy Thompson pulled the same thing. Senate was not good enough but the WH was. Then when the senate was ok he lost. I do believe that to be the case. The party’s not worth it. Even a losing effort will use up more rat resources. Our leaders are cowards.

He's doing great work at YAF, and YAF is doing great work developing young conservatives - I've gotten to see them in action. If his job is "cushy", Walker is still doing important work for the conservative movement.
