MAGA supporters call for Gov. DeSantis to deploy National Guard to protect ex-president at Mar-a-Lago from possible arrest and plan a 'Patriot Moat' at Florida mansion - as GOP chiefs accuse Manhattan DA of 'abusing his power'

Trump supporters are pushing for a 'MAGA moat' around Mar-a-Lago to prevent the former president from being arrested as they demand that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis defy New York authorities and refuse to extradite Trump.

The ex-president had claimed on his Truth Social platform that he will likely be arrested on Tuesday on criminal charges related to payments he made to porn star Stormy Daniels.

He even urged his supporters to 'protest, protest, protest' as he raged online about the legal case, causing many to show up at his Florida estate with signs, banners and even their own boats.

Now, some MAGA conservatives are demanding that DeSantis refuse to extradite Trump to a 'Soros DA' until the Florida government can conduct its own investigation — with some even saying the governor should call in the Florida National Guard to protect Trump.

But so far, DeSantis has remained quiet about the potential arrest, even as other Republicans line up to denounce the possible indictment as an 'abuse of power.'

Among those calling for action are political commentator Mike Cernovich and radio host Stew Peters.

Cernovich, for his part, demanded that DeSantis refuse to extradite the former president, even offering a statement for the Florida governor to use.

'I will not extradite a presidential candidate to a Soros DA who allows violent criminals to roam free until there has been a proper legal review conducted under Florida law,' he offered. 'If lawful, then extradition may occur, but not one day sooner.'

Political strategist and former radio host Joey M. also tweeted 'if DeSantis signs that extradition request, his political career as we know it would be over. He’d be worse than Pence.

> Has Alvin Bragg ever visited Florida and/or does he have a property there? If so, I am sure he has done something wrong that a Grand Jury needs to look into. <

You are absolutely on to something. If a Democrat DA can make a mountain out of a molehill, a Republican DA should be able to do the same.

Look into Bragg, Hillary, any Biden, etc. Convene grand juries made up of Deplorables. As you noted, that’s the only way to stop this nonsense.

But here’s the problem. Democrats play hardball, all the time. We do not. And so we get run over, again and again.

This isn’t federal. It’s a NYC misdemeanor. The SS should shoot anybody trying to serve this warrant.

“Trumps Hooker hush money legal mess is a very sleazy event like Monica”.

Calling it “Hooker money” is a big step over what really happened—if anything at all happened...

Lindell attacked DeSantis right after the Midterms when Trump announced he’s running.

That’s when Lindell threaten to look into DeSantis cheating in Dade County.

Before any controversy regarding the Dominion Lawyer.

Lindell has lost every endeavor he has taken on politically.

He really needs to work on his company. Before that fails too.

Hmmm… any truth to the possibility of the 10th Mountain Division being ordered to Florida to arrest Trump? The 10th was mentioned upthread.

By the way, your interest in and focus on sphincters is SOOOOO GAY. 🙀🙀

This isn’t federal. It’s a NYC misdemeanor.

If its a NY State felony, extradition requests would be handled in Federal court.

“Talk about over-zealous reactionaries... Build a most? Naaa. let’s lie down in the streets, blockade traffic, chain ourselves to street lamps...”

AND/OR Glue ourselves to the road, cars in dealerships, pictures in museums, you know, like they do in Europe.

"He ran for Republican Party Chair to peel off any votes from Harmeet Dillion because Trump endorsed Ronda McDaniel."

As usual, Delusional Dave, you got it wrong and you can't let it go, but for the record, Trump equally endorsed Dillion and McDaniel.

>must abide by federal court orders calling for the extradition

This appears to be state, not federal.

I can’t let what go?

That’s the first time I mention that here.
You’re hilarious.

No, he endorsed McDaniel. He did not endorse Dillion at all even the slightest.

Making stuff up doesn’t make it true.

Lindell attacked DeSantis right after the Midterms when Trump announced he’s running.

Lindell likes paper ballots over voting machines. DeSantis likes the machines including Dominion.

Not to hard to see their differences.

Personally, I prefer paper ballots without the machines.

I suspect that is the goal. DeSantis has no legal way to deny extradition. So no matter what he does he is stuck.

Yes, it would be a State felony charge, but extradition requests go through Federal courts.

“to the state from which the fugitive has fled”

Trump didn’t flee anything. He moved a long time ago. If he was first charged with a crime and then left to avoid the consequences then that would be fleeing. You need to read the constitution literally and not allows other to twist its meaning.

Here is the definition of “Fled”:

verb
run away from a place or situation of danger.
“a man was shot twice as he fled from five masked youths”
synonyms: run, run away, run off, make a run for it, run for it, take flight, be gone, make off, take off, take to one’s heels, make a break for it, bolt, beat a (hasty) retreat, make a quick exit, make one’s getaway, escape, absent oneself, make oneself scarce, abscond, head for the hills, do a disappearing act, beat it, clear off, clear out, vamoose, skedaddle, split, cut and run, show a clean pair of heels, turn tail, scram, do a runner, scarper, do a bunk, leg it, light out, bug out, cut out, peel out, take a powder, skiddoo, go through, shoot through, fly, run away from, leave hastily/abruptly, escape from, skip, bugger off

Can you say Trump did any of that ?

And now we know why the USSC got it right in 1861 and why the more modern “Twist the meaning” political court of 1987 overruled the earlier court in total error.

Trump caused this with his big mouth once again. He just has to make a huge deal over nothing.
