When you have to try the case in a court, even a liberal one, and not in the media or fundraising circles for the far left (we have our own nonsense on the right too) you have to rely on facts.
This seems like a diversion to me, but it serves the interest of both sides. The radical left (obviously includes the media) gets to create a spin cycle of news and divert attention from other stories (like the bombshells Comer is throwing) with the tried and true “we got the orange man this time” meme and they raise money. Trump gets to play the martyr and he wears it well - solidifies and increases support and raises lots of money.
I can’t even understand the legal theory here because Trump is not even tied directly to it, the star witness is a proven liar and disbarred attorney, and the “victim” has recanted her claim and even lost a civil case with a much lower burden of proof (in civil court).
