Navies are useless to the Deep State. The navy can’t be turned inwards to terrorize the poplulace.

If we were to boil down the US Constitution into the specifically-authorized responsibilities and obligations of the Federal government - and sift away those that are not...
A solid defense would easily make the cut. But 98% of the current Federal Government would not.
As to shrinking the fleet - I would favor that - if only all the rest of the unconstitutional garbage were cut entirely out first.
I’m pretty sure Khrushchev and other Soviet leaders had an agenda that included flipping the US from within. It’s almost like the “Color Revolutions” that the US/CIA have perpetrated around the world - only on a larger scale, with a much longer timeline.
Niether the U.S. Navy nor any U.S. insitution can “win” against “climate change” but the Navy can help U.S. opponents win the next war against us by the Navy taking its focus off of sheer readiness for its essential missions, and those essential missions do not include “climate change”.
