A group of students who were harassed and told to leave the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum (NASM) because of their “pro-life” hats achieved a legal victory Monday when the Smithsonian accepted a consent decree stating that visitors may wear clothing with religious and political statements.

Inquiring as to why others were permitted to wear, e.g., “Pride” masks while they were being forced to remove their pro-life hats, the students were allegedly told by a security officer that their hats were 'political statements' and that they were “not promoting equality.
The entire staff should be mandated to take First Amendment professional development training as a condition of keeping their jobs.
Does the consent decree include FIRING the dumbass employees, including all those administrators that most likely fostered this attitude? I doubt it.
Hollow victory at best.
Not a hollow victory, but if it had been any other group thus scorned they would have also demanded monetary reparation
I agree, not a hallow victory - they also got the National Archives as well, which puts any other such institutions on notice. It sets a precedence and will no doubt affect training for personnel.
Too bad they didn’t get a monetary settlement as well, sometimes the only thing these “woke” institutions understand is monetary judgements against them. - and yes, I understand it is ultimately us taxpayers that will foot the bills.
Why was there ever a question that these kids should have been let alone?
