Open carry is legal in UTAH, so him having a gun should have nothing to do with it. He was a smart ass, but that doesn’t warrant shooting him.
Exactly. Plenty of "fail" to go around, here ...
Attention cops: We the People are armed, as is our fundamental, God-given and Constitutionally protected right. Get used to it. If you can't wrap your head around it; if you can't show us proper respect ... find another job. "Wal*Mart greeter" might just be your speed.
He wasn’t shot because he was a wise ass. The officer gave him all kinds of leeway and was courteous and patient. He was shot because he reached.
Reaching for it guaranteed he’d be target practice

If they thought he was reaching for the gun, it would warrant shooting him. You don’t have to wait for someone to grab it & point it.
***He was a smart ass,***
When you go out like this with a chip on your shoulder trouble will follow you. It never fails.
If he had just shown the police some respect, they would not have felt compelled to shoot him.
Maybe so. Being a smart ass is going to bring negative affects into one’s life.
Who needs smart asses? Simplify. Who needs hassle, crudeness, or agression in their life?
One less smart ass suits me fine.
