I have never heard of him before and I am not a fan of the genre, but I feel an overpowering urge to buy one of his books.

I won’t buy it from Amazon, though. I never buy books from Amazon.

He went on to bemoan the “odd posturing” he’d seen at previous iterations of the event, where one award was given to “a fat Black chick,” calling his words an “honest, reportorial description… This is who she is.”

I am a fat White guy. I'm old too. I am not offended by it. I proudly own it. It overcame a lot in life to get me to the point where I am now an old, fat White guy.

I read a book his in the mid 1970's called
"The Time Connection." I wanted to read it again
so I purchased an old copy I found on Amazon last year.
Actually I didn't think I would find a copy.

Glad to see the author is still alive and kicking and not
