Permit me to add something else. According to the article, Soros is to be charged with abetting in the murder of Hungarian Jews from September 1942 to January 1943.
The Hungarian regent, Admiral Horthy, made a serious effort to protect Hungary’s Jews (he didn’t care very much if they weren’t Hungarian). The murder of Hungarian Jews only started after Horthy was deposed by the Nazis in 1944.
So either the author of this piece got his dates wrong, or it’s fake news. I’m betting it’s the latter.
Now, if Hungary would arrest Soros for corruption and for interference in state affairs, that would make sense.

Jews were deported to the Ukraine as early as 1941, mostly non Hungarian Jewish refugees, but in the tens of thousands. Jewish Hungarians had difficulty returning to Hungary, essentially abandoned to their fate elsewhere in Europe. Horthy had no sympathy for Jews. But he didn’t deport them.
That said, never underestimate the ability of a journalist to get things wrong. Multiple sources, both pro and anti Soros, date his acquired false identity and job assisting in the distribution of deported Jews assets to the German invasion in the spring of 1944. My guess that’s the mistake in the article. Pre 1944 he couldn’t have collaborated with the Nazis. I suppose it’s possible he collaborated with Hungarian deportations, or their labor force which cost many lives, but I doubt it.
Would it be possible for Hungary to issue the death penalty sentence first, carry it out, then have the trial??

In 1942 when Soros was 12 years old, the Hungarian army was allied with the Nazis and invading the USSR.
My guess is that a 12 year old George Soros did not order the Hungarian government to join up with Hitler.
