The single motherhood rate in the black community has gone from 20% to 80% in the same time that the Civil Rights Movement has made huge gains for black people. Is America more racist now than it was in the ‘60’s and if it is please explain how. My point is...money is not the problem here. Racism is not the problem. What is the problem in the black community then? If money is given to anyone with unresolved problems the problems will only get much much worse.
These aren’t reparations given to deserving people to whom something is genuinely owed. It is protection money for criminals threatening retribution against innocent people if it is not “given”.

360 k to each person will be redistributed to a small percentage of the population in a matter of weeks or even days and the losers will be worse off than before the giveaway. Many will have better access to drugs for that short time, though, The 360k giveaway will surely occasion a large spike in fentanyl deaths. Maybe that is the point.

3. This will not be a one time payment. Given the precedent, once that money runs out (which won’t take long), they’ll be asking for much more.
Delusional, the committee is throwing numbers out that will never actually be paid out. It’s easy to spend money when you are not writing the checks.
However, if there were a serious attempt to turn this into law with anything approaching these numbers, the reaction would rip the Democrat coalition governing California apart. This would face steep hurdles in the State Legislature, and if it somehow managed to pass, it would face a ballot measure.
