No, I am claiming it was foolish to call for a protest during the electoral college vote, when the votes were already publicly announced, as well and Pence already advising him he wasn't going to test the Constitution and pull some typical Democrat shady trick and put us in a Constitutional crisis.
When he couldn't get the National Guard there to help, and knew he would have to rely on Nancy Pelosi for security, it should have been more than obvious that a lot more bad was likely to happen, than good.
But his ego got the best of him. He felt so powerful having all those people there protesting for him, that he ignored the danger he put them in. Rather than go on TV and call for people to calm down, as his family was frantically calling and texting him to do, he ignored them and instead started calling Republicans and taunting them about the supposed might of his protesters. I wouldn't be surprised if he would have preferred it to be even more violent than it was, so he could beat his chest even harder.
People died, and are still in prison. For what? So all Republicans can henceforth be called insurrectionists?
If after J6 he had continued to try to make his legal chase he was robbed, it would have been more understandable. But since he took the $250M he had just collected for that purpose, and disappeared for a year instead, his motives deserve to be questioned.
You really are clueless.
Apparently, from this poll, in this article, 61% of the people haven't been fooled into thinking that the Republicans are insurrectionists.
Trump tweeted, as events were ongoing, for everyone to go home. And, as we know, the requested security was denied.
So why don’t you get off Trump’s back?
“Rather than go on TV and call for people to calm down”
Ahhh...but he did.
All is forgiven of Trump. Nothing is forgiven of DEMOs and RINOs.
