Walmart cut its teeth by staying OUT of urban and even suburban areas (that also kept them under the radar of the Leftists, while they greatly expanded). Going back to that model might not be a bad idea.

Depends how bad it is in those urban areas. Not all are bad, or at least, this bad. I am sure they will pull the plug in other places when they get this bad.

Walmart cut its teeth by staying OUT of urban and even suburban areas...Correct, Prog Leftist Union controlled Cesspools wouldn't let 'em in unless they kneeled to the Commie Unions, so Sam Walton offered BIG Savings for a little trip down the highway, EVERYONE took him up on it, and Walmart Mini Malls boomed, sending prosperity to less populated AMERICAN areas.

Walmart cut its teeth by staying OUT of urban and even suburban areasI remember when I moved to [large Texas city} 30 + years ago, I had to drive to the next county to find a Walmart.

Back in 1988 I had to work near Waynesboro Georgia for a few months. Quiet laid back area with a spread out population and clusters of buildings along the main roads. Just north of the “city” was the first Walmart Superstore I had seen. Anybody and everybody shopped there. Prices were at least half of what I could buy in CT. Fantastic store at that time.
