Who needs clot shot to awaken shingles. DiFi is OLD enough to be at high risk from age alone. Usually shingles is treated as outpatient with oral antivirals. Hospitalization conceivably needed to care for the affected, potentially ulcerated skin, for pain relief (again outpatient meds often suffice), perhaps for eye care (if unlucky enough to put it there) or for relatively rare more severe complications. DiFi also might be getting hospital care as a rich VIP when normals wouldn’t be allowed it.
