A group of Donald Trump supporters was booted from a Ron DeSantis book signing event after he allegedly ordered security to kick out fans of the former president.
The Florida governor was at a Books-a-Million store in Leesburg, Florida, on Tuesday, when Trump supporters attempted to take part in the event.
The group, however, was not allowed in, with video of the incident showing a security guard telling them: 'They told me to say anyone wearing Trump has to go right now.'
The group then booed at the order, calling DeSantis out for not supporting 'free speech' as tensions rise between Trump and the governor, who is leading the latest Republican poll for a potential GOP presidential frontrunner.
The video, which was shared by conservative Laura Loomer, shows the outraged Trump supporters frustrated by the security officer who told them they were not allowed in.
'DeSantis' people are in there and had me come out to tell you guys not to be here while he's here signing books,' the officer told the group, who were clad in Trump shirts and signs.
As the group reiterated that DeSantis was not letting them demonstrate, they slammed him as being against freedom of speech.
The upset guard then said: 'Ok. Now you sound like CNN.'
Following the incident, Loomer told The Daily Beast: 'Police showed up and they told us that we were going to be cited and arrested for trespassing if we didn't leave because DeSantis didn't want us inside. It shows that he's a tyrant.'

Again, why would you show up for a DeSantis BOOK SIGNING in full Trump regalia with signs, as if it’s a campaign event?
Not sure why this doesn’t seem weird to folks, at a minimum, if not downright out of line.
DeSantis could put an end to all this in five seconds by saying, “I’m not running in 2024.”
Any active politician doing a public book signing is going to attract political sides to attend the event..

Exactly. So Desantis doesn't like President Trump supporters. I wonder if he also told security not to allow anyone in who had Haley or Ramaswamy shirts or hats.

However, DeSantis being noble and sinless and an eighth day creation of God, one would expect something much more gentle than just the usual snotty political moves.
The action was taken because crazy nutjob Laura Loomer was holding a rally to purposefully disrupt the event.
Are you gonna sit there and try to tell me that a a DSantis book-signing is NOT a campaign event? Child, please.
If the man's gonna put himself in front of the people like that, then he can expect to hear from the people.
