Leave Austin Now: Massive Wave of Police Retirements Coming as Repercussions from Defunding Hit Home
The Liberty Daily ^ | 2/25/23 | J.D. Rucker

Texas is generally considered a red (though leaning more and more purple) state. Republicans have been able to keep control outside of the metro areas and even in most of the metros the gab between blue and red is smaller than most other big cities.

The exception has been Austin which models itself more after San Francisco and Los Angeles than Dallas or Houston. The city was among those leading the charge during 2020’s big #DefundPolice movement and the results have been bad. They’re about to get worse. According to Fox News:

I was listening to a gay conservative on TV a few days ago who claimed Austin is doing a lot better since the end of covid. He was talking about the downtown area and claimed it was safe. I guess he lived in New York before moving to Austin. Being able to own and carry a gun was a big deal for him.

Not to worry about Austin. The city leaders will recruit every PhD at UT and empower them as official police, and all will be well.

LBJ’s ranch is about an hour outside of Austin so it will take a while for the Austin rot to arrive.

I did love the fact that as you drove by his ranch during the recent elections, there were Trump signs everywhere including across the street from his front gate!

They're retiring all over the place, not just in the crap dystopic jurisdictions. Experienced, mature men are fleeing that profession. Rough times ahead for civil order no matter the zip code.

Take a look below to see what's replacing them -

We visited the LBJ ranch and did the bus tour about a decade ago.

The tour guide kept singing the praises of LBJ—with lie after lie after lie after lie after lie—it took every ounce of my strength to resist the temptation to debate with the fool pushing Deep State garbage.

My wife was laughing at me—she knew the tour was cruel and unusual punishment for me.

We did the tour when I was a kid in the late ‘60’s. I’ve driven by it probably 100 times since and have zero desire to see it a second time. It makes me sick just thinking about the man and what he did to this country.

Let all of the police in Austin retire and/or quit and replace them psychologists. It’ll turn Austin into another Leftist Utopia!

Imagine our cities with minimal police force after the Feds build housing projects in the suburbs to house the millions of illegals and relocated inner city ghetto and barrio population.

It’s gonna be sooo New Age. Welcome to Obama’s Amerika, fundamentally changed.

Newsome/Adams 2024!

Great to know! The more exposed about what a monster LBJ was— very good to know. The War on Poverty, Great Society and other pocket lining machines this a@@ created to stay in office could not overcome his feral megalomania (not to say his string of women— well in excess of anything JFK had) and his base stupidity. Remember— he got a degree from Texas Teacher’s univ... and then started his rise.

The honorable Sen. Richard Russell apologized many times to the demoncrats and the US as a whole for mentoring this monster to the most powerful Senate position. JFK was going to dump him, because of Billy Sol Estes and many other schemes (Bobby Baker, Sec. of Senate- his street bag man for slush funds from the Mil-Indust companies, to perpetuate Vietnam failures after failures milking the US of the hardware and the personnel). LBJ finally realized he has zero support to run for re-election. They all knew what he had done, and they got paid for all that time. Shameful. And Biden is just like him and all the other machine a@@holes.

The sheriff’s in the surrounding counties will have a say about that. They want the garbage contained to Travis county.

‘Huge’ parts of Austin left ‘unpoliced’ after city contract fight triggers mass officer exodus’

Progressives should not bother the police when they are victims of crime. Let the remaining police concentrate on investigating only crimes against conservatives. That should reduce the need for LEOs in all but a few sections of Austin.
