I’ve seen too many fictionalized versions of his assassination to know. I am sure he was on the radars of and had contacts with/from the CIA and the FBI, but have no clue who was really behind the murder. And it was clearly pre-planned, multiple shooters. Doesn’t exactly sound like an FBI/CIA type of hit but then again they would want it to look that way if they did. More likely, his killing was sanctioned by some elements inside the Nation of Islam who didn’t want him to set up his own organization. He was slowly moving away from their Black Nationalism idea in general and had been more or less kicked out of the organization with nowhere to go but to start his own organization. He had a lot of followers and media attention. Three NOI members were convicted of the hit and if I recall at least one confessed.
they killed him for the same reasons the Sanhedrin killed Jesus. Malcolm was woke to their hateful ways and was becoming too big a threat to their bread baskets, their control of the sheep, their lofty positions.
