Actually I may agree on this one. The 100 miles of Taiwan strait can be very impediment for China invasion.

But here you are wrong I think. They are anything but NOT a starving now. Actually they began a market reforms and going off the strict socialism for sometime now. IMHO they will become the economic system like China.
So they will be all capable to take over South Korea. And I think the first war for pushing US out of Asia will happen on Korean peninsula. Second Korean War.
