I am sorry to hear this. Carter is a misguided liberal, and he did the country harm. But he is a classical liberal, and a patriot - nothing like modern “progressive Democrats” AOC, Bernie Sanders, etc.
I always thought Carter could do the country one last service by speaking out against our woke fascist culture. I suppose it’s too late now.

He was the predecessor to them possessed of their central flaw: he was an absolute ideologue in that when he implemented his fixes and they failed miserably he couldn’t change course. He couldn’t be wrong…just like these psycho monsters today. He blamed America and her malaise.
