If by your series of groundless insults you are implying that I am a globalist, you are greatly mistaken. I am entirely in favor of tariffs.
However, as I stated above, tariffs are not the SOLE answer, as you imply, to the problem we are now facing, which is that so much of our industry has already been offshored. Trump did address a variety of trade issues, such as encouraging onshore manufacturing again, dealing with the multitudes of regulations that environmentalists have put in place, and curbing currency manipulation. There is also the matter of raw materials sourcing, R&D concerning our use of materials that we can produce inshore, the foreign ownership of many of our transportation hubs... I could go on, but this is what I mean when I said tariffs alone will not solve the PRESENT situation.
