Sen. Dianne Feinstein emerged from the Senate chamber on Wednesday seemingly confused about what she had done during a two-vote series.
"Did I vote for that?" Insider overheard the California Democrat ask her long-time chief of staff, David Grannis, about approving a judicial nominee to the federal bench.
Grannis, who had just finished explaining to his 89-year-old boss that the six Senate votes scheduled throughout the day would be on Biden appointees, shook his head and said, "No."
The most jarring part about the public episode was that Grannis was trying to map out what Feinstein — whose cognitive ability has increasingly come into question — needed to know about what was happening later, but she couldn't recall what had transpired minutes before.

This is a narrative being set up for her to resign and be replaced by Schiff who will then be placed on the Senate Intel Committee.
I say make her stay in the Senate. If she dies, embalm her and bring out her corpse Weekend at Bernie’s style, until the next election.

In any case, it is obvious that she can no longer function as an independent adult, let alone a Senator. But her staff know that if she were to resign, they’d be out of work—at least for a time, or maybe permanently since the replacement, sure to be a democrat, will already have a staff.
And if she should die in office, she might well get a state funeral, flags at half-staff and maybe even a democrat pep rally at her memorial service.
That’s why the Founders in their wisdom crafted the Constitution to so severely limit the power of those we elect. Of course we’re an empire now and that document is mostly a dead letter, but it worked remarkably well for awhile.
I think it's pretty much settled that they don't.
Can you imagine Jotatato debating anyone? He either won’t run or there could possibly be some type of emergency where everyone would be locked inside their homes. No way of knowing what that could be.
He's too far gone to process questions that are not rehearsed.
