I don’t doubt what you’re saying. That’s not right for the rail workers or the millions of people that live near the tracks. What I’m wondering is if there may be something intentional going on here, since there are so many accidents in such a short period of time.

I can’t speak to “terrorism or sabotage”.

But, longer and heavier trains on tracks not designed for the length and weight. Fewer workers to perform inspections and do the maintenance.

When a train wheel meets a rail the surface area of the contact is about the size of a dime. Any deviation in the space between the tracks can cause a derailment.

Move one of the rails out about an inch or more, something the naked eye can’t see, and the train is off the tracks. And, the ensuing derailment destroys the evidence.

And unless you can notify the railroad about something off and the train, depending on speed is at least a 1.5 to 2 miles away, the trains can’t stop if they’re going at any decent speed.
