The general rule of thumb is that attackers incur 3 to 1 casualties. If Ukraine met or exceeded this number by inflicting 3 or 4 to one casualties on the Russians then they did well. There have been several articles written that Russia reversed this ratio [the artillery advantage]. Western military experts were confounded.
