The song, a Christian hymn honoring the birthday of Republican President Abraham Lincoln, certainly has noble origins. But the reason for its inclusion before pro football games was anything but noble.
The “black national anthem” was added as a concession to those who felt the “racist” origins of “The Star-Spangled Banner” didn’t represent them. When asked by The Western Journal, Lake confirmed she had indeed chosen to sit as the song was sung.
The account of Lake’s campaign explained why she chose to sit via Twitter. “Our girl is against the idea of a ‘black National Anthem’ for the same reason she’s against a ‘white National Anthem,'” the account tweeted. “She subscribes to the idea of ‘one Nation, under God.'”

Very pricey tickets. She already paid, they don’t give a whiff if she stood. It’s a still shot, is there video? did she stand after the photo was taken? It was nothing, no different than changing your profile pic with a flag or ribbon. It’s virtue signaling to her base.

I think they want it played for every sports game now regardless of what month it is. If they are claiming it is only because of bhm, then they aren’t telling the whole truth of the mattsr

No it had nothing to do with it being Black History Month.
The NFL is still doing penance for the treatment of Colin Kaepernick and kneeling, and also bending over backwards to prove that they are liberal because of George Floyd.

This was so obviously “set up” that it’s silly.
Lake is a member of the media elite and she understands how to push buttons. And boy...she hit some with the old white guys on this one. Now old fools can pleasure themselves thinking Kari Lake is not only loud and pretty...she thinks just like me about songs.
She should run with Trump. Then we can be done with both of them. We need to stop running cartoon characters.

Where’s the press calling her courageous? Or declaring that she’s “So brave”?
Somebody always pays whether directly or the loss of revenue via giving free tickets.
Ironically, the wealthiest there pay nothing to be in the boxes, and people take out a second mortgage to watch a game.
All of those guys are over 70, if I recall.
