Yeah, that’s pretty much how I saw it. There could have been a more exciting finish. I think the worst part of the call is that the defenders,on both teams, had probably been doing a lot of grabbing throughout the game and it is generally tolerated. In any case, the Eagles offense had really slowed in the 2nd half. Only a field goal in the 3rd quarter and that one touchdown in the 4th. They certainly had their chances.
Compared to many games I had seen this season, this one was very clean. Almost all the penalties called were of the technical variety such as Offsides, False Start and Delay of Game (yeah, I’m looking at YOU Philly, wasn’t enough flags tossed for your hijinks). Only one minor kerfuffle. No coaches raging hard at the officials. Of course, one could argue that the officials were being quite lenient. Also notable was the lack of injuries on the field that caused any players to head for the locker room.
