Signs of unrest surfaced almost immediately after the team's 38-35 defeat Sunday night - with disgruntled fans swarming City Hall and clashing with cops that had been stationed throughout the city in case of such an outcome.
Police scanner audio since 10:30pm suggested police had made multiple arrests, as citizens were seen scaling lampposts, chanting 'f*** the Chiefs', and hurling glass bottles throughout the city's Downtown neighborhood.
Footage circulating on social media also shows several residents lighting fireworks, with others egging on armed SWAT teams tasked with keeping the piece.
In one shocking clip, a group of Philadelphians are seen lighting fireworks, with some reports indicating the explosives are being thrown at officers.
Cops were using tear gas to deter any further disruptions, after a crushing defeat highlighted by game-altering penalties.
The loss is compounded by the fact the city's baseball team, the Phillies, similarly crashed out of the World Series just a few months ago.

They would have won if we just had “mail in” football.
Reality is, had the eagles won the unrest and damage would have been even worse…

I live in PA and yes, eagles fans can suck. But the “Santa snowball” story, is not what people think. You need to look it up…it’s actually kind of funny as to why, how and ended as the crowd apologizing to the “Santa”.

People really need to get priorities straight.
The Philthies had no business being in the World Series. They only got there on the basis of the wild card scam that was engineered to enhance cash flow to the league, the teams, the stadiums, and the advertisers.
This kind of garbage has been happening for 25 years - “collegiate” students rioting over WINNING.
Again, just brings to mind how we SHOULD be SHOOTING these spoiled-rotten bastards with no reason to cause such destruction.

Forget it, Jake, it's the Daily Mail.
It was standard Superbowl it seems. Ends with one side saying they got cheated and then tearing up and looting the city.
Same thing will happen next year.

Correction: they would have rioted more if they won. Most of those people on Broad street last night had been drinking since noon and already decided that they were going to "celebrate" in the streets after the game. Probably saw it as more important than actually watching the game.

Out here in rural Northeast PA, our church played FLY EAGLES FLY after the service. We had high hopes.
