Unless all-out nuclear WW3 or the rapture (or both) occur in the next decade or so procedures such as this, and even stranger procedures, will become routine.

I remember it, too. Many women were pushed into c-sections when they wanted to give birth naturally.
When we point out only women can become pregnant, trans-men say some women don’t become pregnant.
What happens if they have wombs transplanted? We’ll point out only women can give birth naturally, and trans-men will say women have c-sections, too.
Now they won’t have to keep the fetus in a box.

They've done 80 women donors-to-women. Of that group about 60% have managed one baby via IVF; the percentage of two babies is much, much lower, because the women agree to have the donor uterus removed after x attempts, otherwise they would have to stay on anti-rejection immuno-suppressives -- the lack of which is what killed Wegener.
There have only been sporadic attempts at doing it to trannies after Wegener, all have failed.
I know nothing about biology, so thanks for the informed post. I think there is a link in article to PubMed article about uterus transplants in men coming soon, which I didn’t read yet. It might’ve been a link within another link.
