Look, Doug is a great man and he would have made a wonderful governor. But May, June, July, August, September, part of October, it was 100% Shapiro ads that I heard and saw, all of them attacking Doug, the vastly superior patriot and person. But voters are dummies who think they are smart, and once convinced, you cannot get most to change their minds. Much of the post mortem you cite is pabulum, frankly, IMO.
Right, because Shapiro had $75 million of dirty money to spend while Doug only had a tiny fraction of that, mostly from small donors, because the RGA and RNC refused to support him.
How's that Doug's fault? He was hung out to try by the National Republican Establishment. The fact that he got 2.2 million votes in spite of that is amazing, in and of itself.
... so you are of course blaming Toomey, Santorum, McConnell and the RottenRNC Niece for disparaging and “not a dime” contributing to the winnable Gov race... ymmv
