1 cup of my mom's chicken soup with dumplings--a recipe that she got from her 97 year-old mother (still alive) : carrot (a good source of Vitamin C, Calcium Iron, Biotin, Vitamin K1, Potassium, Vitamin B6, and Lutein), onion (a good source of Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Potassium, Manganese, and Copper), celery (a good source of: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Potassium and Folate), high-quality proteins (a good source of Tryptophan, Choline, Zinc, Iron, and copper). And an excellent source of amino acids.
Other ingredients are proprietary.
Brussel Sprouts: Brussels sprouts are an excellent source of protein, Calcium, vitamins C, K-1 and B-6, alpha-lipoic acid, sulfur-containing compounds that protect against cancer, chlorophyll (another cancer protecting nutrient), Potassium and Folate.
Potatoes: The Irish know the value of a good potato: They are an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin B6, and potassium. They are a good source of folate, niacin, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, and manganese. To get the most out of the potato, you should eat the potato skin as well as the flesh, as some micro-nutrients are more concentrated in the skin.
Nori: 40% of nori is made of a protein and this is comparable to soybean. The amount of the protein included in 1 sheet of nori is equivalent to 1/5 of egg. Furthermore, protein of nori contains all of the essential amino acids; this means protein of nori is excellent in terms of quantity and quality. It contains vitamin A, B1, B2, and C with potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc.
Raw Oysters: An excellent source of iron, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium, and a source of magnesium, phosphorus and vitamin C.
Some say oysters are an aphrodisiac.
And, with Darren’s help, we’ll get that chicken!
