JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The name Chris McDaniel is one some Mississippians may recognize either as a state senator or a man who’s had several campaigns for U.S. Senate over the years.
“We are here because of our great conservative legacy. From Kirk Fordice all the way to Tate Reeves, this party must learn to work together again if we were to accomplish old and great things for the state,” McDaniel said.
The far-right Republican said he’s building his candidacy on original Republican beliefs and values, and wants to slow the growth of moderate and left ideologies.
“There was no honoring compromise, there is only weakness in surrender. We must insist that our party be a party of warriors, of fighters, of conservatives,” McDaniel said.
McDaniel said if elected, he’s focusing on “eliminating the woke culture in our schools and universities” and getting rid of tenure for teachers to prevent “sending our children to universities and colleges only to have them brainwashed and coming back as little Socialist.”
So what makes him different from Republican incumbent Delbert Hosemann?
McDaniel said there’s a clear difference - his unwillingness to compromise with the other side.
“The House is filled with good solid, strong Republicans. Their agenda is being blocked, not by the Senate, but by Delbert Hosemann. He’s worked hard to do that,” McDaniel said. “In short, Delbert likes to reach across the aisle. He likes to compromise our belief systems. He is empowering Mississippi Democrats and the results are evident.”

Then Cochran "retired" in 2018 (died in 2019) and we got appointed Cindy Hyde-Smith (Conservative Review Liberty score of 54%, or F).
So instead of an elected conservative, we got an appointed moderate, similar to Kelly Loeffler (GA), Martha McSally (AZ), Pete Ricketts (NE) and Lisa Murkowski (AK). The appointed moderate will either be subsequently elected (and reelected like Murkowski) or be defeated by a Democrat (as was McSally and Loeffler). So win-win for McConnell.
“But McConnell engineered for McDaniel to be defeated in the runoff by getting Democrats to vote for Cochrane (the usual game).”
It wasn’t MCConnell that did that. It was Haley Barbour and his nitwit nephew.
Answer: “far-right”
Question: What definitely gives proof of leftist democrat source???
Two words that the media never uses together..... Far and left.
Chris McDaniel is a man I would vote for, if I still lived in Mississippi.
That said, I suspect the Uniparty will Kari Lake him, big time. Possibly in the primary.
“It wasn’t MCConnell that did that. It was Haley Barbour and his nitwit nephew.”
You’re right. But no doubt in coordination with McConnell, who doesn’t allow anybody he doesn’t want into HIS senate.
The RINO’s in Mississippi and the MSM, especially Mississippi Talk Radio, hate McDaniel. The MSM and RINO’s supported the adulterer and mentally compromised Cochran because McDaniel will not genuflect to them. He was ambushed on Talk Radio and his every move criticized by the MSM. If he gets elected he will be a thorn in the RINO and Democrat’s side.
Why Lt. Gov? He needs to get his foot in the door. Aiming low is prudent. He’s younger(51). Plenty of time to move up. Perhaps being elected will give him a chance to show he’s not the ogre his enemies paint him out to be. Reagan had to get past the same thing.
Not a bad looking fella-those things count.
Yep. No doubt there was coordination. Chris McDaniel is a good man and solid conservative. Barbour is scum.
He needs to primary Wicker.
