I fully fail to comprehend the media obsession with this story. Victim, Black, Cops, Black. They can’t even use this story to pmump up the “White=Racist” meme.
So, what’s the point? Slow news week? Look over here, not over there? Are they trying to pump up the “Defund the Police” agenda?
I don’t get it; it’s not even that interesting or unusual in US cities. Why all the emphasis on this story?
The issue here is corrupt police killing a man for no apparent reason.
What happened in Memphis was they changed the benefits package (in other words, took away benefits) so most of the senior officers just retired or went to other police departments.
The city council also did not want to hire policemen from other counties. They wanted the police to come only from Memphis (although the state government eventually stepped in and overruled the city late last year).
So Memphis is left hiring police who probably would not qualify for the police force of other cities. They will even hire people with criminal records (according to local radio host).
So you have here the worst example of policing caught right on camera.
It opened a lot of people’s eyes.
And it’s going to make a lot of people run, just like Tyre did. They’re running out of the big cities.
To stoke civil strife.
Federalize police force?
Whatever it is, it isn’t going to be good for citizens.
Low IQ people and drugs are flooding our country, and nothing is done.
But, we have $137 billion for a non NATO, non ally for a war.
It’s all BS.
In this case it's pretty obvious these officers were bad officers......and what or who wired them up even before they pulled him over. Too many unanswered questions.
However Nichols was indeed beat and tortured to death - further left unattended far to long by those who should have acted quickly. Those officers should all pay for their crime.
