Frankly, this sucks. The GOP has underperformed under McDaniel, so why stick with her? And anyone closely related to Mittens Romney is automatically suspect in my book. Harmeet would have had my vote.
I agree - but apparently it wasn’t even close. So I don’t blame Trump for congratulating her - it’s not in his best interest to make enemies of party leaders.
It’s kind of like with job interviews - unless you have a firm offer from your first choice, you have to pretend each position is your first choice, even if it isn’t.
Don’t burn bridges until you are sure you won’t need them.
