I first encountered unabashed pride in being American when I came to the United States in 1951. I sailed across the Atlantic alone. Perhaps someone along the way told me tht I was going to the United States; however, as a seven or eight-year-old I knew nothing about the nation that had granted me refuge.
Upon disembarking in New York what stood out was not the awe-inspiring and intimidating skyscrapers seemingly reaching to the heavens, or for the first time in my life seeing a city not lying in ruins from the ravages of war, but that there was a palpable atmosphere of confidence, optimism, self-reliance and above all pride among the people in this new and mystifying country.
I soon learned that this mindset permeated the entirety of this vast nation and had since its founding, thus, enabling it to evolve into the most successful nation-state in the annals of mankind. While no nation can ever create an ideal society, due to certain immutable characteristics of the human race, no country has come closer to doing so. It is the only nation in history committed to right societal wrongs, to live by the underlying tenets of Judeo-Christianity and govern itself by means of a written Constitution that reflects those values.
As recently as 2004, 91% of Americans were extremely or very proud to be American and the United States ranked first in the world in national pride. However, in less than twenty years there has been a stunning reversal that portends a dire future for the United States as a precipitous erosion in national pride has undermined societal confidence, self-reliance, optimism, and cohesion.

You don’t need to travel far to see Zimbabwe.
Just visit the local Democrat controlled major city.
Make them live in one of those societies for one full decade with no luxuries or modern inventions (like those created by white people or capitalism) whatsoever, then MAYBE they’ll rethink their opinions and be proud to be Americans.
Many of the “younger generation” do not even identify as American.
Look at California, where the majority are illegal aliens or recent anchor babies. They identify as Mexican, not American.
The government education/indoctrination system has done its job perfectly...
The parents who have supported the communist takeover of this Nation by committing their offspring to these asylums have to feel so proud...
If we had only known that the Left had turned the schools into indoctrination centers. Oh, that’s right, we did.

I’m also very proud of my 3 grandkids, notably my 16 MO granddaughter, who was born 14 weeks premature. She’s such a fighter, and she’s scheduled to go home in 2-3 months.
It’s also bleak when 15% of “Americans” aren’t actually Americans.
Wow 14 weeks? That’s amazing , hopefully things work out for her.
This reflects the voting in 2022. GenZ has no idea. Sadly, I fear the last generation of Americans has already been born. I don’t know what to call those who follow, US citizens maybe, but it won’t be “American” as we have known it for 250 years.

schools and their teachers are failing in many ways.
Grass roots groups need to take action and investigate exactly what is and is not being taught.
When I was in High School in the 70s they were teaching that “We are all citizens of Planet Earth”, but nothing about how great it was to be a US citizen.
PUblic education and non stop propaganda from media and social media.
Perhaps feeding more HomoFascist propaganda to school children will help? Perhaps rigging elections and arresting patriots? Perhaps more foreign wars, higher taxes, and deficit spending? Perhaps more CRT and intersectionality taught to children? More drag Queen story hours and LGBTQI dance degrees? More transgender changing rooms in schools, and more meatless bug meals? More forced vaccinations or you lose your job? More eminent domain for solar panels on farms? Perhaps more open borders, bailess arrests, and catch and release? Perhaps more reparations to non-slaves?
They are more than welcome to leave.

Hate to be the messenger of bad news but they’re not going anywhere. Those like myself, however, who are fortunate enough to be able to do it, will be the ones leaving. Leaving to where? Well, that is now the unanswered question for most of us.

Yep, it is an ideology the specific purpose of which is to balkanize any country in which the indigenous population is ignorant enough to embrace it. The USA for example, or various EU countries, Sweden for example.
