It is a threat to us because the Gorshkov changed course on its way to South Africa around the island of Flores and turned due west towards the US. Probably just saber-rattling, but still a concern.
So, if a Russian ship, 3400 miles away, on the other side of the ocean, turns west towards us, that’s a threat we should worry about?
Interesting. Because US and British warships and spy planes swarmed around Crimea the year before the war. Hell, a Brit ship went to battle stations and sailed 3 miles off of Sevastopol. We swarm them on the Pacific side right up to the 12 mile limit. Our spy planes fly right on that 12 mile limit daily.
And they turn towards us from 3400 miles away. And that is menacing and we should see that as a threat?
Interesting disconnect there.
