Brazilian real = 0.19 to us dollars and Argentine = 0.0055 peso to us dollars , someone will get screwed

This is interesting, given disparate news happenings:
BRICS+, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa (and others that have or want to join), for a non-petro-dollar currency leading to a precious-metals backed financial system.
The recent sElections,Lula and Bolsonaro.

Wasn’t Muammar al-Qaddafi pushing hard for a separate currency for Libya and its neighbors, just before he was erased?

If either country has the ability to inflate at will then this will probably not work. Even with the discipline of Germany the Euro almost failed because countries like Greece couldn’t resist, and it may fail yet when some future misbehavior happens.

I imagine Bolsonaro would have been in the way of that.

China is the driving force behind the undermining of currency.
This Brazil and Argentina takeover is just another step in the Biden administration aiding China in dominating the world at the expense of America.

I would expect the US and EU will be quick to establish digital currency system tied with the worlds banking systems... to prevent nations from side stepping the dollar.

You know, it is obvious that sooner or later, the US Dollar would lose to other currencies. History tells us that plus "nothing lasts forever."
Thanks to Biden, it will be much sooner rather than later. You go around and seize (steal) other people's US Dollars and use the dollar like a missile (sanctions), then bad things happen to you (us).
That will have profound consequences for those of us in the US when it finally happens.
Can anyone say Zimbabwe, Argentina or the total disaster that was the Weimar Republic?

Why anyone or government would want their money linked to Argentina and their gangster-style government is beyond me.

Yes, a common currency that will STILL be converted to dollars in order to trade internationally.
But, then again, the writing is on the wall since Biden used the dollar as a weapon. It might take time, but the dollar’s days are numbered as the reserve currency. England never thought their day would end with the pound sterling either.
My SO was in London for a few months and saw the carnage in the economy. Be prepared for your family’s future.

South America’s two largest economies, into the world’s second largest currency bloc.
The second largest? The U.S. dollar is used by the U.S., Panama, Ecuador, and Liberia and the Euro is used by most of the E.U. Argentina/Brazil is bigger than which of those two?
Argentina is a monetary basket case and has been for a very long time. Brazil, with its new far-left president looks to want to get on the failure train. Besides, according to the Simpsons, Brazilian money looks gay.
