I’m into dual sport bikes too, but my 1200 cc Buell that I mentioned a few comments back is 440 pounds curb weight and not pig in the garage at all. I did replace the OEM muffler as it was a boat anchor and put in li battery, too (nod to the rare earths crowd).

I think the Yamaha XT250 weighs in at 290 pounds. Btw, I've had shovelheads, panheads, a 1941 Harley ULH 80" flathead side valve, Triumph T-120 Bonneville's etc...But now I like to slow down and and see the sights with a little dual sport, and what's great, is I can go off road whenever I feel like it!

Btw, I can see the trends as the retired/older motorcycle folks are snatching these up as fast as they come available, new or used. It took me a month to find one and had to drive 180 miles to pick it up.
