Notice you’re focused on cutting Social Security, with no similar passion about cutting welfare and education and housing and hospitals for low income immigrants and illegals, or closing hundreds of our bases overseas. And no mention of raising taxes on wile hedge fund billionaires, or on foreign remittances by immigrants, or on imports worldwide , all of which Trump favored - and Romney/Ryan oppose. Your Romney/Ryan philosophy lost at the polls in 2012. Trumps support of Social Security won in 2016, carrying states where Romney Ryan Republicanism couldn’t compete. You have a purist libertarian philosophy that is great at everything except winning elections

Oh, so you’re of a very non-Conservative mind that thinks general tax revenues should pay for social security benefits?
Sorry, I am all for massive cuts of general federal expenditures, but (a) social security taxes do not go for those expenditures now, and (b) general taxes should not be for fuding social security, so the cuts in general spending you are referring to should not be any key to saving social security.

Notice I have not made any comment about “cutting social security”. There are many social security and tax adjustments that can be made without cutting current beneficiaries current benefits - but neither any Congress nor any President has been willing to admit them. Doing nothing is not a solution.
