Mainstream media works for the Democrats. Why give interviews to them? Exactly. Trump's desire to be liked by the media helped lead to his downfall. Whether it was Bob Woodward, Leslie Stahl, Maggie Habberman, etc, he would even agree to multiple sessions to help them write books attacking him. If you want to talk to the press, pick them carefully.
