This whole thing is about Committee chairs, because that’s where the fundraising is. Most people don’t understand that those positions go to the highest bidder who is then committed to raising a certain amount of money each year in order to keep it.

If leapfrogging the pay-for-play committee assignments were behind Robert's outburst, I am for him losing the chairmanship even more. That guy's fundraising plan was to make a few phone calls to the people who had their palms greased by Richard Shelby with our tax dollars in that last spending bill.
