This is truly amazing. I’d have thought that the best possible outcome would be him being alive but a vegetable. My understanding was that he was clinically dead for a good 5-10 minutes?

CPR for about that amount of time. Was mentioned that oxygen down to 40% which may be enough to prevent the neural network from starving/dying.

My understanding was that he was clinically dead for a good 5-10 minutes? Has it been reported how soon a defibrillator was used after he collapsed? CPR probably continued after he was defibbed.

His heart wasn’t beating on its own, but CPR kept circulating oxygenated blood to his brain and organs until the heart restarted.
